Cave people were the original home decorators. Some of the oldest known art in the world was found in the Chauvet Cave in France. Early humans painted lions, mammoths, and rhinos in charcoal and ochre, using the contours of the rock to bring the animals to life. Many lifetimes later, we still use the walls around us to tell stories, express ourselves, and mark our time here. Some things never go out of style. Here's more info about today's artwork. You can also find it in my online gallery. “Remember” Black Butte (October 2014) #remember #mountain #oregon #cabin #lookout #ericmuhr
