I have a folder of more than 3,600 images I’ve never shared, and every once in awhile, I like to sort them by date and see whethere there’s anything about a particular place or experience that might be fun to share. This collection comes from a 2022 hike on the Anthill Trail above Wahtum Lake in Oregon’s Mt. Hood National Forest. It was a peaceful day with dramatic skies, wildflowers, and the frequent sounds of flowing water. Download the masterlist of my 50 favorite #Oregon locations. This early morning scene portrays the serene beauty of rural life. The lush green fields and rustic charm of the barn offer a peaceful start to the day. There's something truly special about watching the sun dip below the horizon, especially when it casts a warm glow over a field of tulips. This landscape in Woodburn captures a moment of serenity, where the vibrant colors of the sunset blend with the delicate blooms below. I love how nature can evoke such peace and tranquility. It’s a reminder to pause, reflect, and feel a sense of reprieve - that, at least in this moment, all is right with the world. What do you find most calming in nature? What does this scene evoke for you? #landscape #sunset #clouds #flowers #field #serenity #WoodenShoeTulipFestival #WoodenShoeTulipFarm #Woodburn #OregonExplored Download the masterlist of my 50 favorite #Oregon locations. There's something captivating about the weathered charm of this old structure at Penn Center in Beaufort County, South Carolina, on Saint Helena Island. The faint reflection in the upper left corner of the window hints at stories untold, while the rustic wooden shutters add a touch of character. I love how architecture can evoke such a sense of nostalgia and connection to the past. What do you see? How does it make you feel? #Reflection #Architecture #Weathered #WoodenShutter #Nostalgia #ArtInNature Sent via @arthelperai
