Old Rolled
The blue pad is light but bulky. It's one of the older pieces of equipment I inherited from the former program.

Bucket
An old paint bucket, filled with water, sits at the bottom of the back porch steps, next to the back wall of the garage.

View
The front door of the old parsonage where I live has, instead of a viewing lens, a small gated grate for speaking with visitors before opening the door. It's one of my favorite details even though I rarely use it.

Chess
This traditional Russian chess set was priced pretty high at the street market outside of Moscow. The price came down a bit when I offered to buy 2 sets. When I had two friends each promise to buy sets as part of my order, this set got ridiculously cheap. Still, a friend, familiar with the seller, encouraged him to give me a better price. She told him he could make it up on some of the Japanese tourists walking by. He laughed at her chutzpah. But he did not give in.

Collage
My sister made this collage as part of her portfolio her senior year in high school. The center photo is of my other sister as a toddler. Neither one is proud of this piece, so I have it.

Traditional
It's a traditional Japanese art-form. This Christmas ornament my sister made with embroidery thread.

Flash
I avoid extra light sources whenever I can. But this porch needed a touch of flash for the sake of detail.
